Thank you for supporting NexGen Scholar. This policy explains how donations made through nexgenscholar.org work.
NexGen Scholar, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 41-2665121). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations made through this website. Please consult a tax advisor about your own situation.
Stripe, our payment processor, emails a receipt to the address you enter when you donate. If you are signed in when you donate, the donation also appears in your profile, where you can download an annual contribution statement (PDF) and your donation history (CSV) for each tax year.
Monthly donations are charged on the same day each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time:
Cancellation takes effect immediately, and you will not be charged again. Charges made before you cancel are not refunded automatically, but you can request a refund as described below.
Because donations directly fund our programs, they are generally non-refundable. If you made a mistake, such as the wrong amount, a duplicate donation, or a monthly gift you did not mean to set up, email support@nexgenscholar.org within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days. A refunded donation is not tax-deductible, and your annual statement updates automatically.
If you see a charge you don't recognize, please contact us before disputing it with your bank so we can help right away.
Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Donations support NexGen Scholar's charitable mission, including our special education initiatives and the Giving Hours Award. As a 501(c)(3), NexGen Scholar has full discretion over how donated funds are used to carry out that mission.
We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information, and we will not publicly list your name as a donor without your permission. See our Privacy Policy for details.
